Here it is: the inaugural episode of my new solo podcast, the In Demand Brand. I hope you enjoy all of the 12(!) launch episodes. I’m anxious to hear your feedback and I hope that you’ll take a moment to subscribe and leave a review on iTunes or Stitcher after you listen to a few of the episodes.
So what’s this show all about?
I go more into my story and the show vision in episode #2, but I wanted to share a few quick thoughts.
I’ve long been a consumer of content. Especially when it comes to business, marketing, and branding, I have lots of people who I follow and get value from online. Between the online culture and reading books, it’s essentially how I’ve learned how to do everything I do today. I feel incredibly indebted to the online community as a whole and have been wanting to pay it forward for a while.
But, life gets in the way. “Real” client work takes a ton of time. Excuses, excuses.
This website redesign and this podcast show are my inflection point to changing that. I’m excited to share everything that I’ve learned over the last 12+ years in business through being an entrepreneur, working for a Fortune 50, working in media, working for an agency, etc. I’ve seen almost every side of the marketing world, and I have a lot to share. So here we go…
In this first episode, I give a branding primer and definition that I’ll be building from here on out. I cover:
- Why branding matters (hint: more money, opportunities, and attention)
- Branding mythbusters
- The real definition of branding, which will probably surprise you
- Why I’ve started calling myself a brand psychologist
- Introduction to the private Facebook group
Speaking of, have you joined us in the group yet?
Thanks for being here! You rock.
