Big Brand Royalty Archetype Inspiration

The Royalty Archetype brand is the most aspirational of all the archetypes. Brands that live this archetype tend to show off the lifestyle of someone who’s “made it.” They lead by example and inspire others to reach their level of success or achievement.

Tiffany and Co have built this archetype into their brand through their high-end pricing and by building the status symbol into their little blue box. In their bio, they use the language “the world’s premier jeweler” to make sure that you understand their positioning.

Hilton Hotels takes the Royalty Archetype brand and applies it to travel. In Hilton’s world, traveling to exotic locations and being pampered is the expression of highest achievement. I love the copy in their bio, “Everything we do is setting the stage for you. Because while it may be our stage… it’s your story.” (BRILLIANT.) This message appeals to the group of people who aspire to lead, to rise above, and to live the life they imagined. It acknowledges Hilton’s part but places the focus on the customer.

Entrepreneur Royalty Archetypes to Follow

Anil executes the Royalty Archetype brand on his Instagram feed flawlessly. We see him enjoying NYC, wearing fancy suits, eating incredible dinners, etc. while wearing his watches. His ideal client aspires to live the same life that he does, and the watch becomes a part of that story. Brilliant work.

Minding Her Business takes a less personal route with the quote images but is highly effective. The content of the quote and even the images used as background speak to the highly successful female CEO or leader directly. There is no coddling, hugs, or pats on the back here – she is inspiring her followers to live a higher expression of their lives. Her brand consistency is impeccable. Also note the bio, “guides to creating an extraordinary life.” Royalty Archetypes aspire to be on top of the game, not 2nd best. Normal and expected isn’t enough – they inspire us to live truly extraordinary lives.

Tips for Showing Your Royalty Brand on Instagram

  • Live the life your ideal clients are aspiring to. Show them what is possible!
  • Adopt a rich color scheme. Deep purple, gold, black, and deep jewel tones are great choices for the Royalty Archetype.
  • Keep it polished. Your archetype doesn’t benefit from looking sloppy or unkempt. Your ideal clients are holding you to a high standard.
